The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) accused Telangana CM K. Chandrashekar Rao of running away from the state to avoid the meeting with PM Narendra Modi, as he was ashamed to show his face to the PM. BJP’s BC Morcha national president Dr. K. Kaxman said the TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samiti) government had thrown to wind the basic protocol to be followed during the Prime Minister’s visit to the state.
He said irrespective of how hard KCR ran around the country, there were no takers for him. The reason why the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann was okay with KCR’s visit was that he was going to give financial relief cheques to the families of farmers there. Meanwhile, people in Telangana were upset and angry that the CM KCR was ignoring local farmers, and their problems, Laxman said.
Laxman also said that the BJP leaders and workers from Hyderabad and Secunderabad parliamentary constituencies would be at the airport to greet Narendra Modi.
The Telangana government said that Animal Husbandary and Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav would be the ‘Minister in Waiting’ for Prime Minister’s visit.
Narendra Modi will be in the city for a few hours on Thursday to take part in the Indian School of Business (ISB) convocation.
Telangana CM k. Chandrashekar Rao is scheduled to visit Bengaluru on Thursday and meet former PM Deve Gowda, and his son & former Karnataka state CM Kumaraswamy.
The KCR’s visit to Karnataka was scheduled as part of his tour to various states to discuss emerging political situations in the nation and the creation of an alternative development agenda for the country.
