To chart the future course of the Congress party, its chief Sonia Gandhi Tuesday formed three groups – Task Force-2024 to implement the Udaipur ‘Nav Sankalp’ declaration, on political affairs for guidance on key issues, and another to coordinate the October 2 ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
While Rahul Gandhi, Gulam Nabi Azad, and Anand Sharma are part of the political affairs group, Priyanka Gandhi and P. Chidambaram are members of the Task Force-2024.
Sonia Gandhi has also set up another group to coordinate the Bharat Jodo Yatra planned from Kashmir to Kanyakumari from Gandhi Jayanti.
The Political Affairs group, headed by Sonia Gandhi comprises Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge, Digvijaya Singh, Anand Sharma, Ambika Soni, Jitendra Singh, and KC Venugopal.
The members of the Task Force-2024 are P Chidambaram, K C Venugopal, Ajay Maken, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mukul Wasnik, Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Singh Surjewala and Sunil Kanugolu.
The Central Planning group for the Coordination of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ includes Digvijaya Singh, Shashi Tharoor, Sachin Pilot, Jothi Mani, Pradyut Bordoloi, Ravneet Singh Bittu, K J George, Jitu Patwari, and Saleem Ahmed.
